Excess baggage charges
Piece Concept
The excess baggage charges apply from Europe to Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Entebbe, Khartoum, Kigali, Bujumbura, Lusaka, Lilongwe, Addis, Maputo, Johannesburg, Antananarivo, Djibouti, Comoros and Mayotte return.
- When the weight is more than 23kg but not above 32kgs, a charge of EUR 50.00 (or the equivalent in local currency) applies.
- For each extra piece not exceeding the maximum allowed weight and size, a charge of EUR 150.00 (or the equivalent in local currency) applies.
The new allowances are applicable for tickets issued on or after 19th December 2007.
Any baggage in excess of the above allowances is subject to excess baggage charges.
Weight Concept
Excess Baggage for weight concept should be calculated at 1.5% of the full IATA one-way fare to the destination.
Important
- Every single baggage should not exceed the limit of 32kg. Baggage weighing more than 32kg will not be accepted.
- Kindly remember to attach a name and address tag to your bags. We recommend that you also place a baggage tag with your name and address inside each item of baggage in case baggage tags fall off the conveyor belt between check-in and loading.
- If you are a SkyTeam Elite or Elite plus Member; Flying Blue Platinum, Gold or Silver member or are traveling Business Class your baggage will be accorded priority treatment. A special ‘Priority’ tag will be attached to your baggage to ensure that it is off loaded first after flight landing.
